These lovely shamrock studs are made in Ireland.  The continuing popularity of the shamrock as a symbol can be linked to Saint Patrick who, while explaining Christianity to the pagans of Ireland, used the shamrock to explain the concept of the holy trinity being three aspects of the same whole.
