Thistle of Scotland (Cluaran of Alba). The thistle became the national emblem of Scotland after the Battle of Largs in 1263 AD. A Norse attack force decided on a stealthy night assault. However, their leader trod on a thistle and his yell alerted the Scots who saw them off, thus saving Scotland. Length: 160mm Comes in gift box.
